About EPC

YOUR COACH PLAYS ON TOUR.

Playing more games only gets you so far. To break through a plateau, you need focused drilling, built by players who compete at the top of the sport.

HOW EPC STARTED

In the summer of 2024 I was training for the JOOLA Pickleball Celebration in Orlando. I was working with touring pros here in New Jersey, and I wanted what every serious player wants: a real drilling plan, built for me, that I could follow between lessons.

I knew I was supposed to drill. Every video says 80% drilling, 20% playing. So my friends and I would make a plan, get to the court at 6 a.m., do five minutes of dinking and one rotation, and then we'd just start playing. Every time.

The problem was the pros themselves. Touring pros are on the road most of the year. After a great lesson with one of them, I asked for a plan and more sessions, but she just wasn't home enough to commit. I was also training with Richard Livornese Jr., and it was the same story: he was away at tournaments, and sometimes I wouldn't see him for six weeks. It was really hard to get any consistency.

Driving home from that lesson, I thought back to my triathlon years. My coach lived in North Carolina and built my workouts every week in TrainingPeaks. With the data from my heart-rate monitor, my watch and my bike computer, she could see exactly how each workout went, even though she was hundreds of miles away.

There had to be something like that for pickleball: a coach who writes your plan, you do the work, and you get feedback on what you actually did. I already knew playing more rec games wasn't the answer. I had to drill. But when I got home and searched, nothing like it existed. That's when EPC was born.

I took the idea to Rich. I told him: I don't need you to watch me dink a hundred balls. I need you to tell me what to do, then look at it later and make corrections. He loved it, and he turned out to be a phenomenal coach, so it was a perfect match. Together we built it into what EPC is today: remote coaching and drilling plans from touring pros, and only touring pros. You get a plan, record yourself doing the drills, upload your clips, and your coach tells you what to keep and what to fix.

For the last two years we've been building the platform and improving every product, with one goal: to become the pickleball education platform in the world.

“EPC really started with Jim's vision. As soon as he said it, I knew he wasn't alone. Other players had talked to me about the same thing. So many players want to improve but just don't have the tools. Now they do: pros from the APP and PPA customizing your plan, totally remotely, wherever you live.”

COACHING, NOT CONTENT.

BUILT BY TOURING PROS

Not by someone who took a weekend course to get certified. Every plan and program comes from players on the APP and PPA Tours.

STRUCTURED DRILLING

Not random tips. You always know what to drill, how to do it, and why it matters for your game.

A PRO WHO WATCHES YOU

When you're ready, a touring pro reviews your footage and tells you exactly what to fix.
